WORK PLACEMENTS AT THE JOAN

Each year, the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre offers over 20 work placements for secondary and tertiary students wanting to gain practical experience working in the performing arts.

Work placements can vary in length from a part day visit by junior secondary students, a week long work experience for Year 10 students, an intermittent or block placement for VET students and 1-8 week placements for tertiary interns.

A work placement at the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre is a great way to find out about many different artforms, working alongside an experienced team of creative, production & technical staff on a wide variety of performing arts projects.

While most participants are from the local region, each year placements are also completed by students from country NSW, interstate and internationally as well.

Placements are available in technical theatre, arts management and marketing and can be also be adapted to suit your course requirements.
